Set up
The Party Line game is for 4 to 10 players ages 14 and up. It takes 60 to 90 minutes to play.
Each player will start with the following:
Your Secret Role Card with a special power to be played during the game. Playing your special power reveals your Role.Your Secret Faction Card which determines your objective and win-conditions.
You also start with a Player Dashboard, Player Piece, Endorsement Token, Position Marker, and Two Vote Cards (Support and Oppose). -

The Agenda Card
There are five ISSUES on the Agenda. Controversial issues that threaten to upend The Farmer’s rule. When you set up the game randomly select the five Agenda cards.
Each round, Players will vote on one Agenda issue. -

Party Line Cards
The Party Line card is simply the Farmer’s opinion. The Farmer will either SUPPORT or OPPOSE each Agenda issue.
Players try to make their vote AGREE with the Farmer.
The catch: The Farmer’s opinion (THE PARTY LINE) will NOT BE REVEALED until AFTER the Players vote each round. However, it’s not enough to just be aligned with The Farmer. You need to be first, #1 in his eyes! Vote before the others to make sure you get a spot at THE COUNTY FAIR. -

The Endorsement Board
The Endorsement Board is the Farmer’s Score Board. It is how you know if you have stayed in the Party and if you are getting ahead. After players vote on an issue, the correct answer is revealed. Players that were correct will score a tier on the Endorsement Board, and those who were wrong will lose a tier on the Endorsement Board. Wrong votes also flip you out of the Party. At the end of the game, Loyal players on the highest tier of the Endorsement Board will win.

Party Line Factions
Use your social deduction skills to Identify three Secret Factions. Each Faction has its own objectives and win conditions.
LOYALISTS - You are truly loyal to the Farmer and will do whatever it takes to keep his favor and rally his support regardless of how he views you.OPPORTUNISTS - You are flexible and will do whatever it takes to keep the odds in your favor. If you vote wrong and flip to Out of The Party, no problem, the Opposition will gladly take you in. Once you flip out, your objective is to keep the majority out of The Party.
PURIST - You are a defender of the Farmer and are primarily interested in weeding out those whose hearts are not truly in it. Be In The Party at the end of the game, and identify one Opportunist to gain The Farmer’s favor.
-
Party Line Roles
There are 10 Hidden ROLES in the game. 10 different kinds of animals, each with their own special Role Ability. These abilities can be played only ONCE, anytime outside of a Round’s Phase I and Phase II. Once played, the Role is then REVEALED, face up, to the table.
-

Grapevine Cards
The Grapevine:
Rumors are Currency. While The Farmer would prefer, we echo his sentiments, he does love spilling the tea. Tell him something sweet, and he might forgive your lack of alignment. Tell him something sour, and he will turn his back on you regardless.
Grapevine cards come in two varieties: Sweet and Sour. There is NO LIMIT on how many Grapevine cards a player can hold at a time. There is a Sweet and Sour Grape for each Agenda Card. There are also 2 Wild Sweet and 2 Wild Sour Grapevine cards that can be applied to ANY Agenda Card. Once a Grapevine card is played, it is discarded. If the Grapevine Deck is empty, shuffle back in the discarded Grapevine cards.
